Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling in the Delta
The South Holland and Zeeland Delta is the most versatile watersport area in the country. The Brouwersdam is the flat water spot of the Netherlands and draws people from across the country with every windy forecast; the Maasvlakte and Ouddorp deliver waves and space; Rockanje and the Grevelingen are quieter alternatives. Because the coastline here turns in every direction, there is nearly always a spot with safe, onshore wind whatever the direction. On the Grevelingenmeer you may wing foil along most shores but not kitesurf, while kiting is limited to the kite zone at Grevelingendam-Noord. Check per spot which directions and which sports are allowed.
