Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling on the Randmeren lakes
The Randmeren between Flevoland and the Veluwe are the flat water back garden of the central Netherlands, with Strand Horst near Ermelo as the largest inland water spot in the country. The water is shallow and flat, access from the A28 is excellent and there are several schools, which makes this the weekday spot for many riders from Utrecht, Amersfoort and the Veluwe. The flat water is ideal for wing foiling and foiling, and on the Gooimeer and parts of the Veluwemeer you may wing while kitesurfing is limited or forbidden. As everywhere on inland water the gusts are sharper than at sea, and some of the spots have zoning, so check the spot page for the rules.
