Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling in Zeeland
Zeeland combines North Sea beaches (Domburg, Renesse, Cadzand) with the sheltered coast of the Voordelta near Vrouwenpolder. The beaches on Walcheren and Schouwen look towards the west-northwest, so southwest to northwest is the wind you come for here. The water is relatively shallow and the beaches are broad, which makes Zeeland appealing to less experienced riders too, provided you respect the wind direction: with easterly wind it is offshore on the North Sea side and therefore a no-go. On the Veerse Meer, where kitesurfing is not permitted, you can wing foil beautifully over flat, sheltered water, ideal for learning.
