Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling on the French Mediterranean
On the French Mediterranean, from Leucate and Gruissan via the Camargue to Hyères, the wind often blows hard: the Tramontane and the Mistral. On many beaches that wind is offshore, so check the verdict per spot carefully. There is hardly any tide, and next to the sea lie large lagoons such as the étang de Salses-Leucate and the étang de Berre. In the bathing season kiting is mostly only allowed in the designated zones and lanes, and every spot on Windulu lists them.
