Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling on the French Atlantic coast
The French Atlantic coast runs from La Torche in Brittany via Quiberon, La Baule and the Vendée to Île de Ré, Oléron and Lacanau. The ocean brings waves, strong currents and baïnes, and in many places the tide decides when you can launch. Within 300 m of the waterline 5 knots applies all year, except in the kite zones and lanes the municipalities designate, and in summer you often may only get on the water through such a lane. Every spot on Windulu states those rules.
