Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling on the French Channel coast
The French Channel coast runs from Dunkirk along the Opal Coast with Wissant, Wimereux, Hardelot and Berck to Normandy with Ouistreham and Le Havre. The tides are big, so the beach gets narrow at high water and hundreds of metres wide at low water. Within 300 m of the waterline a 5-knot speed limit applies all year, except in the designated kite zones and lanes, which are usually only in place in summer.
