Kitesurfing, wing foiling and foiling on the German North Sea
The German North Sea coast runs from Borkum and Norderney via Cuxhaven and Büsum to Sankt Peter-Ording and Sylt, and almost all of it lies in the Wadden Sea National Park. There you may only kite and wing in the zones designated by the Befahrensverordnung, and in some places only around high or low tide. Every spot on Windulu sits at such a zone and states the rules. The open-sea beaches such as Sankt Peter-Ording and Westerland face west, so westerly wind is onshore there and easterly wind offshore, while on the Wadden side it is often the other way round.
